ASELSAN’s KGK-84 scores direct hit
ASELSAN’s guidance kit KGK-84 scores direct hit in F-16 live-fire test.
Testing of guidance kits developed by ASELSAN continues, and within this scope a KGK-84 release was successfully conducted from an F-16 fighter aircraft.
During the test, the target was hit with full accuracy. Announcing the development via his social media accounts, President of the Defence Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün stated the following:
“The ASELSAN KGK-84 wing assisted guidance kit, released from an F-16 and striking its target with full accuracy, once again demonstrates the advanced level our country has achieved in guidance technologies with its ability to accurately follow pre-defined waypoints from long range and with its advanced technologies that distinguish it from its counterparts worldwide.
Our guidance kits, developed through national engineering capabilities, once again confirm the determination and technological competence of the Turkish defense industry in the field.
These achievements are concrete outcomes of our long-standing vision to develop our own technologies and gain global competitiveness through national solutions.
I would like to sincerely thank, in particular, our Ministry of National Defence, the valuable personnel of our Air Force Command, the staff of our Presidency, and the ASELSAN family—the pride of national engineering—for their efforts, contributions, and steadfast commitment to this important success.”
